Jungian Analysis

An invitation into deeper work

In a fast‑paced culture, the inner world is often the place we visit least. When we lose touch with parts of ourselves, we can feel stuck, confused, bored with life, or strangely out of place in our own story.

Jungian analysis offers a regular, protected space to turn toward this inner life and listen to what it is asking of us. It is less about “fixing” problems and more about discovering what wants to emerge in and through them.

About Jungian Analysis

  • Jungian analysis is a form of psychoanalytic therapy that works with both the conscious and unconscious dimensions of experience.  We pay close attention to dreams, symptoms, patterns in relationships, and everyday situations, as expressions of a deeper psyche that seeks healing and wholeness.

Rather than seeing difficulties only as the result of past wounds, Jungian work also asks how they might be “flickering attempts” of the psyche to move toward the person you are becoming.

  • This kind of work may be suitable if you:

Have already tried shorter‑term or solution‑focused therapy and sense there is more to explore.

Feel blocked, lost, or at a turning point in life, work, or relationships.

    • Are troubled by recurring dreams, symptoms, or patterns you do not fully understand.

    • Long for a deeper sense of meaning, purpose, or inner coherence.

It is not a quick fix. Analysis asks for time, patience, and a willingness to stay with difficult feelings as well as unexpected insights.

  • I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist and my background is in Psychosynthesis with a specialisation in working with LGBT people. I decided to further my training last year, and was accepted into the CG Jung Institute in Zurich in the Psychoanalysis program.

As part of this training, I am offering lower‑fee analysis while under supervision. What that means for you is you’re getting a fully qualified and experienced therapist for less than my usual fee.

We would usually meet once or twice a week, in person and/or online. After an initial trial period, the intention is to work over the longer term, so there is enough time for deeper changes in how you live and relate to yourself.

If we decide to work together, my role is not to give advice or quick answers, but to accompany you in attending to your psyche with care and curiosity.

Because this is part of my training, I will be having intensive supervision throughout. What this means is that our work together will be discussed with a senior analyst, and sometimes in group supervision. You and your details will always be anonymised, but our work together will benefit from the deep experience and broad perspectives I’m getting in supervision.

  • Jungian analysis differs from regular therapy by working deliberately with both conscious and unconscious dimensions of experience, rather than focusing primarily on conscious thoughts, behaviors, or symptom relief. While typical therapy often targets specific goals—like managing anxiety or improving relationships through practical strategies—analysis treats recurring patterns, dreams, and symptoms as meaningful messages from the deeper psyche, inviting exploration of neglected or emerging aspects of the self. This long-term process seeks not just adaptation to external life, but genuine inner transformation and wholeness.

  • The cost for analysis with me is £50 per 50-minute session. In comparison, my standard rate for psychotherapy is £90+ per session.Sessions take place in person or online, once or twice a week. Work is generally longer term - 9 months up to many years.
